July 2019 Favorites

Summer is going by so fast, I feel like I’m in a time warp. It’s been a few months since my last monthly favorites post, but I’ll try and be more consistent with these D: Not everything in these posts are skincare/beauty items but the ones that are will be reviewed in the future! Okay, on to the things that made my July better.

Meet Fresh

Herbal Grass Jelly Soup and Mango Ice

MeetFresh is a taiwanese dessert shop with delicious sweets like shaved ice, glutinous rice cakes, herbal grass jelly, bubble tea, puddings, sweet beans, and so much more. It’s a tad expensive but sharing a pile of sweet ice with your family while it’s 90 degrees outside is a lot better than it seems.

Blueberry Lemon Chia Jam

Even though MeetFresh is delicious, ya girl can’t be eating ice cream every day (not just because I’m lactose sensitive). So to keep things fresh at home, I started making homemade blueberry chia jam. It’s so easy, it’s only 3 ingredients, and it’s so good. I love it on bread (PB&Js), in yogurt, and on desserts of any kind. It’s also so healthy for you it’s a complete win. It also makes the sweetest gift ever.

I Dew Care Brown Bear Headband

I’ve wanted a skincare headband for a while and when I happened upon this adorable headband in Ulta I needed to get it. It was $6 and I think it’s totally worth it. My only gripe with it is how small it is. I have a pretty average sized head but for some reason this head band is just a little tight. Still so cute though.

Kaja Mood Balm Color Changing Lip Moisturizer

First Thing is the middle one

I don’t usually wear makeup but this lip tint is so cute, I’ve been wearing it almost everyday. At $14 it’s definitely a pricey purchase but it’s an innovative product that is decent quality. It’s not as much of a moisturizer as it is a stain so if you’re looking for a lip balm, this is not it. It’s so pigmented, I think it could be used as a lipstick. Personally, I have it in the shade First Thing which is a really pretty cool toned pink or slightly coral (depending on the temperature of your lips). It’s so long lasting because it really just turns into a stain, and the stain is so pretty and natural. A perfect summer MLBB tint.

Biore Watery Essence Sunscreen

I have to say, I saved the best for last, because this is my favorite skincare product period right now. It’s a complete game changer for sunscreens, and I can totally see why it’s a cult favorite. It’s cooling, absorbs quickly, and leaves absolutely no white cast. I don’t even know if there’s a better sunscreen out there. At $18 for 85g on Amazon, it’s not a hefty price tag either. I can’t believe I didn’t know about this earlier. It’s definitely the highlight find of the summer.
