Hey guys! Today’s review is going to be different since I’m going to be talking about hair. As a competitive swimmer, hair care is super important. All that time in the chlorine definitely takes it’s toll on my poor hair. A few years back, my mom saw a bottle of OGX at Walgreens and she decided to pick some up, and I’m so glad she did.
Right on the front of the bottle, OGX claims their “unique, precious blend with argan oil of Morocco helps to penetrate the hair shaft [… and restore] strength, shine, softness, and seductive, silky perfection. Essentially, for people with mildly damaged hair like mine, OGX’s Argan Oil of Morocco promises to restore it with lots of moisture and luster.
Price: (385 mL or 13 oz)
Amazon: $5.59 (Free shipping over $25)
For the amount given, the price is a little steeper than Pantene, Garnier Fructis, Suave, and the rest but in my opinion, it’s worth it.
The first thing I noticed about this shampoo was the smell. The fragrance is intensely strong and smells like a woodsy, musky perfume. Many argan products I have used have not had this level of concentrated fragrance. Personally, I absolutely love the scent, and I can’t stop smelling my hair (as weird as that sounds) after using this shampoo. As for the results, it absolutely lives up to what it claims to do. My hair is noticeably shinier, smoother, silkier, and stronger after one wash. It’s such a luxurious experience, with the excessive amount of bubbles and the thick lather. I have also tried the other versions, and I can say that every version I have tried is just as luxurious and amazing.
Pros and Cons:
- Makes hair healthier, silkier, smoother, and stronger
- Amazing scent (if you are not sensitive)
- A little expensive
- Strong fragrance (if you are sensitive)
Who Should Use:
Literally anyone, but I think this would be super great for people with mildly damaged or dry hair. However, since the shampoo is so rich in argan oil, which is known for moisture, there’s not really any reason for my friends with oily hair to open their wallets for this one. Yet I do believe, it will still give any hair type a good health boost.
Really love this shampoo! However, I will not be sticking to this one as I believe there are still more shampoos to try.
