Hey guys! So a lot of you have heard about the Cosrx Master Pimple Patches, (If you haven’t click here for my review!) and you know how much I love them. Very few products work overnight, and this is one of the most ingenius, convenient, and effective solutions to acne I have ever seen, thus it’s status as one of my holy grail. Yet for a long time now, Nexcare has also been making pimple patches, and some people swear by them. You can read lots of reviews where people hate the Cosrx and love Nexcare, vice versa. I wanted to find the difference myself, so I bought a box to try. Here’s my take:
Let’s start with the Cosrx patches. They’re nice and thin, but not too thin (otherwise they wouldn’t be able to hold that much sebum). They are definitely visible, but are don’t look crazy, especially if you put a little concealer over them. They stick SUPER well, not budging during sheet masks, sleep, or even showers. The only time they fall off is when I sweat. These suckers (haha) are my number one recommended acne treatment, and I strongly believe that this product will shake up anyone’s acne care routine.
Now, for the Nexcare pimple patches. On first impression, these patches are noticeably thicker and much more yellow, which makes them very noticeable. If you went out with these, people would definitely stare (which doesn’t stop me on a Saturday! Weekends are for the skin haha). The most annoying part of these is not the thickness, but the amount of “stick” they have on my skin. After ten minutes, these patches were already sliding off my bone dry face. I had really hoped the thickness would be an indicator or durability on the skin, but these patches can’t do anything if they don’t stick to the skin!
By my extremely scientific experiment, I have come to the conclusion that I will never let go of my Cosrx Master Patches. They were far superior to the Nexcare patches, and if you are on the fence, I would strongly urge you to try the Cosrx Master Pimple Patches! Your life will never be the same.
